"Let the beauty that you love be what you do." - Rumi

Practicing yoga allows me to be engaged with what I truly value. I am deeply moved at how yoga has improved my health, fitness, mental clarity, and ability to be more present.

I want to practice, teach and share yoga because it is beautiful to continuously re-discover the ability of your body, the power of your focused mind, and the connection with your spirit and your breath.

Brittany coast

Enjoying yoga on the beaches around Perros-Guirec on the Brittany Coast, France.

Pura Vida

 On the road in Guanacaste.

A moonlight walk on the beach with a wonderful group of women on our yoga retreat.
Dining on the side of the road in a French restaurant.

Feeling the presence of the place.

Howler monkeys forage in the trees above.
 Patterns in the sand.
 Graffiti sun.
What a beautiful and inspiring place to practice.
 Swallows at dawn.
One of many one lane bridges.
A sunset practice, watching the humming birds and white egrets and listening to the jungle.

Brahman cows at the bus stop.
Adventures in smoothie making with local fruits from the road side vendors.
Departing with charged batteries.

Arizona

Soaking up the Sonoran desert sun and marveling at how much life emerges when one takes the time to stop speeding by on freeways and look at the intricacy and adaptation of cacti, birds and reptiles. Practicing yoga in the evenings with family, our breath guides our movement as we wind down and integrate the experiences of the day. It is amazing to visit with long-time friends and to see a new generation of friendships between our children.

Hawaii

Hawaii has a special place in my heart. From the honu resting on the beaches, to the humpback calves testing their strength in the warm waters, to the amazing flora and technicolour beaches, the islands seem to welcome us home. The birds woke me each day just before sunrise for a morning yoga practice on the lanai or on the seawall looking out to the waves and the sweep of clouds over the islands turning pink in the dawn.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica, 2013

Each morning began with a sunrise yoga practice on the beach. Each day held warmth and color and the vibrancy of the place - even the fences are alive. I am fascinated by our guide showing us how mangrove seeds contain a tree in miniature. At sunset locals gather at the crocodile bridge to watch silent reptiles emerge from the surface only to disappear without a trace. We walk along dirt roads traversed by scooters, trucks, brahman cows, horses who are not penned, families, dogs, and the odd iguana. I am deeply thankful for family and friendship, adventure, the power of breath, and the strength of the myriad connections in my life.

Yoga in the ravine

Walking in the ravine and watching sunlight filter through the aspens was the catalyst for moving to our house years ago. It is is wonderful to watch the seasons change and be present for all the moments that make up the passing years.
